Job Description

Working within a team of inspection technicians, your work will help the company to adequately meet his clients’ expectations and you will guarantee them the security of their fire systems.

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, you will be mainly responsible for inspection, service and modification of sprinkler, fire alarm and special hazards systems. You will also respond to service calls from customers, and provide training to clients and peers when necessary. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

  • Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing systems;
  • Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection;
  • Preparation of inspection and deficiencies reports in a timely manner;
  • Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis;
  • Minimal travel across the province may be required.

Work area: Vancouver and surrounding areas



  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of all types of fire extinguishing systems, including special fire suppression systems (gas, pre-action, foam, etc.) and fire alarm systems;
  • ASTTBC Stamp/Seal including the following disciplines: Special Fire Suppression Systems, Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers;
  • Strong fundamentals in electronics/electricity or Fire Science Technology;
  • Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset);
  • Aptitude for mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting;
  • Valid driver's license (mandatory);
  • Ability to work well independently;
  • Strong customer service skills.
