PARTNER WITH THE C.A.S.A.
The Canadian Automatic Sprinkler Association is a National Trade Contractors Association. It has existed in one form or another since the 1920's and was incorporated under a Dominion Charter in 1961.
C.A.S.A. promotes, defends, enhances and improves the business of installing and manufacturing fire sprinkler devices and systems. The Association works closely with fire and building officials, architects and others "To enhance the level of life safety and property conservation from the effects of fire through the use of fire sprinklers”. Source and information: www.casa-firesprinkler.org.
Our story with C.A.S.A. began long before 1961, the year of the official incorporation of the CANADIAN AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER ASSOCIATION. In the 40’s, our company was already a loyal member of C.A.S.A. Over the years, our business relations have rapidly transformed into a solid partnership based on transparency and teamwork.
It was on December 19, 1961, when our company was operating under the name Dominion Sprinkler Co. Ltd. that we attended the first meeting of directors of the CANADIAN AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER ASSOCIATION. Several years went by since then and the C.A.S.A. became one of the most respected associations in Canada, just like Viking Fire Protection is in its field of expertise. In 50 years, our partnership with C.A.S.A. has solidifed through our respective expertise and experiences. We intend on preserving this fruitful business relationship for a long time to come.

Mobile training unit
The first mobile fire protection training unit was completed in 2010. The trailer is the property of the CCQ (Commission de la construction du Québec). The installation and interior design were carried out by Viking Fire Protection Inc.
The trailer, which is 63 feet long, 12 feet wide and 13 feet high, contains about twelve types of extinguishing systems, seven types of activation (detection), one diesel fire pump and one water tank with a capacity of 1,000 US gallons.
The unit’s primary purpose is to offer advanced training to all mechanics and companies in the field of fire protection across Quebec. In addition to providing more accessible advanced training for workers, the unit also allows hands-on experience with all existing types of systems available on the market. Advanced training activities are under the responsibility of the Commission scolaire des Bois-Francs (the school board of the Bois-Francs region), which will also be in charge of continuing the development of advanced training activities in the field of fire protection over the coming years.
We are proud of having played a part in this unique project and of having contributed in a certain way to the training of our industry’s professionals.
